Notes *A schoolhouse was first built in 1868, and the school opened in May of 1869 for 4 months with 28 students.
*Enrollment: In 1881: 58 students. In 1898: 30 students. In 1938: 11 students.
Memories: "Sweeping the room before I went home was also my job. I had 4 girls, 6th through 8th grade, who wanted to learn to play the piano. So after school a few times a week one or two would sweep while I in turn gave music lessons. They all learned to play the piano." -Doris Lundgren
